KeyShot has been an invaluable tool in my workflow for iterating colors and look development for medical devices. Footwear Design
12-hour Art test using KeyShot, ZBrush, and Maya.
During an art test for the Lead 3D generalist position at Vans Shoes several years ago, I relied KeyShot alongside ZBrush and Maya to create a highly detailed and lifelike shoe model within a 12-hour turnaround.
Using ZBrush, I meticulously sculpted the intricate details and organic shapes of the shoe, while Maya provided the tools to refine its overall structure and design. Finally, KeyShot seamlessly rendered the model, accurately showcasing its materials and textures. This integrated workflow exemplified my adeptness in utilizing industry-standard software to produce top-tier 3D assets.

Using KeyShot rendering software has revolutionized my approach to designing graphics for the Applied Medical Transportation fleet. The photorealistic rendering capabilities have allowed me to create stunning visuals of the fleet graphics, providing a clear and accurate representation of how the designs will appear on the vehicles.

I utilize KeyShot to render realistic and detailed visual aids for Doctors, Sales reps, Product Managers and Engineers, enabling them to effectively communicate complex information. By leveraging ZBrush, I sculpted intricate anatomical, cross sectional and mechanical models, providing a visually engaging experience for users.

I had the privilege of collaborating with a product manager for illustrations that were needed for a Doctor based in Japan who published his unique techniques into a medical journal where he discussed his approach for using the GelPoint Mini for a minimally invasive approach to performing a mastectomy for treating breast cancer.

This was a passion project that has yet to be released to the public. Ultimately this is a studio lighting expansion kit with presets. The goal is for even quicker render set ups an outputs.
A studio lighting template kit can be an essential tool for KeyShot users, providing pre-configured lighting setups to streamline the rendering process. With a variety of included files, users can easily achieve professional-quality lighting effects, minimizing the time spent on trial and error with their work. This kit offers versatility, allowing users to experiment with different lighting scenarios to beautifully showcase their 3D models. Whether for product visualization or architectural rendering, this expansion template kit will enhances efficiency and elevates the overall quality of KeyShot renders.
Thoughts for additional expansion kits would be character base lighting, automotive staging, pre-animated camera passes, gobo kits, large stage light kits, fashion studio light kits. Themed kits, i.e.: retro, steampunk, gothic, holiday, epic titles, and on.
A lot can be said for being able to streamline one’s efforts. A library with preset assets have always served me well.
